1. Reduces Inflammation
Inflammation is an essential part of the body's immune response. However, when it is ongoing, it can lead to various health issues or a drop in fitness performance. Research shows sulforaphane has potent anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory molecules. This natural compound can help to reduce inflammation.
2. Detoxifying
Sulforaphane supports the body's natural detoxification process by boosting the production of enzymes that eliminate harmful toxins. Sulforaphane has been studied extensively for its numerous health benefits, including its ability to detoxify the body. By regularly incorporating sulforaphane into your health routine, you can help your body rid itself of toxins and other harmful substances.
3. Reduces Oxidative Stress
An imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants in the body causes oxidative stress. Free radicals can damage cells and contribute to aging and other health issues. As a powerful antioxidant, sulforaphane has been shown to increase the body's antioxidant defence mechanisms by stimulating the production of enzymes that neutralise harmful free radicals.
4. Helps Regulate Blood Pressure
Sulforaphane has been shown to help regulate blood pressure by improving blood vessel function and promoting the relaxation of blood vessels. This, in turn, may help to lower blood pressure.
5. Helps Regulate Blood Sugar
Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels is essential for overall health and well-being. Sulforaphane has been shown to help regulate blood sugar levels by optimizing insulin sensitivity and promoting the efficient use of glucose in the body.
In conclusion, incorporating sulforaphane-rich foods like broccoli sprouts into your diet may provide numerous health benefits, from reducing inflammation to regulating blood sugar levels. So, it's time to embrace those cruciferous vegetables and let sulforaphane work its magic on you! But if you're pressed for time we've got a convenient solution for you to enjoy the benefits of Sulforaphane. Explore our range of Pure Broccoli Sprouts and Pure Active Sprout, start reaping the benefits today!

The gut-skin axis. Have you ever heard of it? It refers to the direct relationship our gut shares with our skin and it's because of this relationship, that what goes on in our gut, almost always shows up on our skin. It’s the reason why our skin breaks out when we consume copious amounts of sugar and alcohol during the holiday season, yet it looks so plump and glowy when we are at the peak of our health kick.
Our skin is our biggest organ that protects us from the outside world as it acts as a physical barrier. It’s the same barrier that our body excretes waste products from in the form of sweat and bacteria. If our gut is full of toxins, inflamed and suffering from a damaged gut lining, then you best believe it's going to pass through to our skin and can cause skin irritation along the way. This irritation can show up as skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, keratosis pilaris or eczema, to name a few.
When we have an inflamed gut, we are also more likely to have inflamed, irritated skin. Our gut is responsible for breaking down nutrients and distributing them throughout the body via our blood stream. Our skin may be the biggest organ but it’s also the least important in comparison to organs like our liver, kidney and heart and so, if our gut can’t pull enough nutrients from our food then it will prioritise our other organs first. This means our skin becomes under nourished, whilst also becoming overly inflamed.
However, if our gut microbiome is being kept happy with an ample amount of fibre from fibrous food sources such as fruit and vegetables, our gut lining is being nourished with the amino acid collagen, our gut bugs are being fed good bacteria from sources like fermented foods and we are limiting things like alcohol, sugar and excessive amounts of caffeine then our skin will thrive just as much as our gut. Why? The less inflammation in the gut and the more good bacteria we have in there, the more our skin can thrive. Not only this, if our gut is being served quality nutrients, while steering clear of inflammatory foods that will disrupt our gut microbiome then our gut is more likely to absorb more nutrients from our food and have enough to support our skin health as well as the health of our other organs. To further nourish the link between our skin and our gut, consuming collagen peptides, particularly marine collagen, can aid in not only reducing gut inflammation but also increasing skin elasticity and plumpness. This is due to the amino acids within the marine collagen that are easily absorbed by the gut.
Whilst the relationship between our gut and skin may be somewhat complex, it can be nurtured through simple nutrition and lifestyle modifications. Incorporating more fruit, vegetables, good fats, complex carbohydrates, lean cuts of protein, staying hydrated and consuming fermented foods like kombucha, kimchi and sauerkraut is a great place to start. Reducing refined sugar, overly processed foods, excessive amounts of caffeine and alcohol as well as avoiding smoking will also help to improve your skin's complexion. For extra added support, our X50 Pure Collagen - Marine Collagen will also work to improve skin complexion, tone and texture as well as nourish the gut lining.

Tired, post workout or just a self-care Sunday? Here’s how to get glowing skin when you’re running on empty
It seems that everyone and their dog are banging on about self-care these days (well, maybe not the dogs), but as it turns out, there is a reason for all the hype. Apparently, when it comes to self-care, a little can go a long way.
In fact, research shows that spending a little time pampering yourself can not only give you a break from the stressors in your life, but it can also make you more productive and can increase your self-esteem. But self-care doesn’t have to mean a weekend at an exxy spa, or all afternoon spent an infrared sauna (who has the time for that?), it can literally be 20 minutes with an overachieving face mask and your favourite playlist.
Here’s how the X50 Fit Face range can help:
Post-workout:
After a tough workout session, your skin can feel dry and rough especially if you train outdoors or in a pool. To get that supple healthy glow back, try the Fit Face: The Hydrator Sheet Mask. This no-nasties organic cotton sheet mask is soaked in serum and contains goldenrod extract, which helps with inflammation, and rice bran extract to help brighten your skin. This handy mask also contains organic broccoli sprout extract, the source of an antioxidant called sulforaphane, which activates the body’s natural detoxification enzymes, as well as help protect again UV-damage and heal inflamed skin. Sulforaphane is basically an antioxidant superhero – it’s powerful and effective (and deserves its own Marvel movie, in our opinion!). So, while these ingredients do their thing, all you need to do is sit back and relax…
After a long day:
Whether you’ve been slaving over a hot laptop all day or out battling in the elements, your skin could do with a little help to recharge and renew. That’s where X50 Fit Face: The Protector Sheet Mask comes in. Before you head out for the evening (or crack open some healthy snacks and turn Disney+ on) set aside 20 minutes for this mask to do its magic. As well as broccoli sprout extract (and its key player sulforaphane), this organic cotton mask is infused with coconut to repair and hydrate your skin as well as a little grape extract for smoothness (yes!).
For him:
No, the fun isn’t limited to the girls, though. The X50 Fit Face: The Defender Sheet Mask is design specifically for active men. It’s perfect for after a heavy gym session or a long day hiking. Just set aside 20 minutes for this pack-a-punch mask to revive your skin. It’ll leave your face feeling smooth, soothed and fresh as. Plus, there are no parabens or sulphates used so it’s perfect for sensitive skin as well.
Looking for some more self-care ideas that don’t cost the earth? Here are five ways to treat yourself if you’re short on time:

Improved nutrition Drinking less alcohol can also improve the way your body functions. “But wine has antioxidants?”, we hear you say. And that’s true, it does. But there are better ways to get those antioxidants than a bottle of your favourite red. All you need to do is add a sachet of the new X50 Grape Green Tea to your water bottle. Make your morning cuppa work double time by drinking coffee with benefits
It’s official. Australia is a nation of coffee drinkers. In fact, three in four Aussies admit to reaching for their morning brew every single day, and more than one fifth of us feel we can’t survive the day without it (no judgement here!). Whether it’s the caffeine hit or that creamy coffee taste, Australian’s are some of the most discerning coffee drinkers in the world, but just as we try to eat well and exercise regularly, we think it’s time to ask the question: Is your morning cuppa making you healthier?
One way to make sure is to sip on X50 Revolver MCT & Collagen Coffee. It’s the coffee with (serious) benefits that has become a cult hit in Australia. Why? Well, here are five reasons Revolver MCT & Collagen Coffee should be on your radar… and in your coffee mug:
The flavourful coffee taste
Don’t worry, this isn’t a coffee substitute; you won’t get withdrawals and want to late-night text your old coffee pods. That’s because X50 Revolver MCT & Collagen Coffee is coffee with added goodness. The coffee taste is still as good as it gets, creamy and full of flavour, so you won’t be compromising your tastebuds or missing your usually brew. It’s just a multi-tasking, healthier drink that your body will appreciate.
It’s a hard worker
Along with all the roasted coffee flavour, this industrious little drink is also infused with Medium-Chain Triglycerides (more commonly known as MCTs). This all-natural ingredient can improve brain and memory function, aid weight loss and help lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Not bad for something that you won’t taste or even notice as you sip!
Get an energy boost
Another benefit of MCT is the fact it provides an instant energy hit that the body can quickly and efficiently absorb (hello, Monday morning!). It’s a natural super fuel, if you will. Each cup contains five grams of MCT, so get ready to be productive!
It’ll make your skin happy
As the name suggests, X50 Revolver MCT & Collagen Coffee, also contains a hydrolysed version of Collagen, which is more bioavailable. That’s important because collagen is one of those wonder ingredients that boosts your nails, hair and skin, creating a more youthful appearance. The generous 5.1gm of collagen helps boost our body’s natural supply, so you’ll have that well-rested, glowing look all day.
There’s a vegan option
Along with all of these benefits, there is also a vegan version, which has the addition of broccoli powder, turmeric which is an anti-inflammatory powerhouse, and antioxidant-strong ginseng, which is known to fight fatigue and boost energy levels.
So, grab a hot cuppa (or make it an ice coffee) and let X50 Revolver MCT & Collagen Coffee do all the heavy lifting for you.

]]>Nutrient dense and packed full of amino acids, chaga mushrooms are the new kids on the superfoods block.
When you think of mushrooms, your mind might wander to a creamy shitake mushroom pasta or button mushrooms on toast, and while those types of mushrooms still hold (delicious) health benefits, there’s a little-known mushroom that packs a much bigger nutritional punch.
Say hello to the chaga mushroom… Sure, it doesn’t exactly look like a mushroom, in fact it resembles rough bark because it clings to the side of birch trees across the northern hemisphere, but despite that, it’s actually one of the most hard-working ingredients you’ll find. We like to think of it as our little secret weapon for a healthy mind and body.
Why we love it
The chaga mushroom has been popular since the 1500s in European folk medicine and has gained in popularity over the past few years, with researchers now interested in its amazing array of health benefits. So, why is it so good for us? Well, not only does it contain vitamin B and D, it’s also a great source of potassium, fiber, zinc, iron and magnesium, as well as other highly nutritious elements. On top of that, chaga mushrooms are packed full of antioxidants and are a good source of amino acids.
The health benefits
What does all that mean? Well, due to their nutritious make up, chaga mushrooms are believed to help combat stress (yes, please!), lower cholesterol, reduce blood pressure, relieve inflammation, and aid gut microbiota health. Most importantly for the winter season, chaga mushrooms help support our immune system – keeping us healthier throughout the year.
How to include it in your diet
Despite its benefits, the challenge is how to consume the chaga mushroom; it can’t be eaten raw, and an extraction process is needed for it to become bioavailable (absorbed in our bodies). Luckily, chaga mushroom powder can be added to water, in tea for example, where it can help the absorption of other nutrients as well. To enjoy the full benefits, try a combination tea such as the X50 Fresh Tea Marine Collagen + Shrooms, which includes Marine Collagen (for healthy hair, skin and nails) as well as chaga mushrooms for a flavour hit that is jam-packed full of nutrients.
Not only that, but this delicious mixture also includes superfoods broccoli sprouts and curcumin to help reduce inflammation and boost your health. Enjoy a cup after your morning workout, with ice for a cool-down drink or add it to your water bottle and sip on it throughout the day. Think of X50 Fresh Tea as the ultimate multi-tasker for your well-being and glowing skin.

Healthy living is all about making the right choices, and implementing them into your daily routine. Sometimes, all it comes down to is a little switch, and it’s a lot easier than you may think. It’s a process of reminding yourself that being healthy is a lifestyle, and not just a phase you go through 2 weeks before bikini season. So, check out these 5 simple switches that you can make in your daily routine, to help facilitate a healthier YOU.
This switch is the easiest switch of all to implement into your daily routine. Instead of ordering juice when you go out for breakfast/lunch/dinner, stick to water. Not only is it cost effective, it also helps you increase your daily water intake and stay away from the sneaky sugars found in juices, milkshakes, coffees and soft drinks. You will feel much more refreshed, hydrated and healthier, plus it eliminates any teeth or clothing staining that can sometimes happen when drinking flavoured beverages. If you’re really struggling to down a glass of fresh cold water, try asking for lemon water or adding some lime/mint yourself to add a bit of flavour – or why not add your favourite Green Tea X50 flavour.
Keep this switch in mind when shopping, going out, or even when exiting the train station. Taking the stairs will get your blood circulating and muscles working, plus it avoids any awkward elevator talk. Next time you’re confronted with the option, make the switch and encourage your friends to do the same. And trust me, the more you make the switch, the less you get puffed when you reach the top!
There’s no need to starve yourself on nothing but beans and lean chicken just to maintain a rockin’ bod. Making little switches at home, in the grocery store and when you dine out can make a huge difference over time! Brown/wholemeal grains are a great alternative for white, plus you can pretty much find them anywhere these days. Whether its brown rice sushi, whole grain bread for your Subway sandwich or whole grain pasta in your spaghetti, these switches are super easy and if you ask me, they taste a whole lot better too!
There’s nothing wrong with treating yourself to a delicious latte with friends on a saturday morning, but during the week you don’t always need the extra drizzle of caramel in your vanilla latte to get you through the day. If you insist on having a daily coffee to prevent the midday crash, simply make the switch to a black coffee instead. It will save you cash and calories, plus I can guarantee the barista will like you ten times more than the ‘triple, venti, half sweet, non-fat, caramel macchiato’ lady…
It can be difficult to find a healthy meal during your lunch break at work, and sometimes you get so carried away you simply don’t eat at all. This has extremely detrimental effects on your body and metabolism, and it can be easily fixed by taking a packed lunch with you each morning. This way you can eliminate any excuses and keep track of what you are putting into your mouth each day. You’ll feel more relaxed and actually have time to sit down and enjoy your break time.
Living a healthy life doesn’t have to be difficult, all it requires is making the right choices when it comes to your daily activities. These 5 simple switches are a perfect way to start, plus unlike a strict diet, they are super easy to maintain! Try to implement these switches into your daily routine for even just a week and you will start to feel and see the benefits. All it really comes down to is making one little switch!
]]>Don’t skip meals or grab whatever’s quick if it has low nutritional value, make the effort to either buy or prepare healthy meals and you will reap the benefits with higher energy levels and less health problems. It’s also important to eat a balanced diet, that’s low in sugars and saturated fats. While you should limit processed foods, if there is something you really enjoy eating don’t totally eliminate it from your diet. If you do you’ll run the risk of binging on it in a moment of weakness.
Staying active is vital for health and well-being. Choose activities you enjoy and will continue to do in the long-term, rather than wasting money joining a gym and doing a heavy fitness regime for a couple of weeks then giving up because it was too strenuous or takes up too much of your time.
Most of us don’t eat our recommended daily intake of vegetables and are missing out on essential vitamins and minerals. If you don’t really like eating vegetables, try adding fresh vegetable juices to your diet or green smoothies.
While you shouldn’t eat bags of nuts, having a handful each day offers many health benefits, such as better heart health. Nuts are also good to snack on, to stop you feeling hungry. Avoid oven roasted nuts and opt for a healthier variety.
Fish oil capsules are filled with powerful omega-3 fats which offer a vast array of health benefits ranging from lower blood pressure through to improved skin health and inflammation reduction.
Green tea is full of antioxidants which protect your body’s cells against free radical damage, so drinking this regularly is vital to help protect you from sickness and disease. It’s also a thermogenic fat burner, which helps to boost your metabolism and detoxify your body. If you don’t like the taste, but want the health benefits drink Green Tea X50 energy drinks instead which have the polyphenol content of up to 20 cups of green tea.
